My ultimate healthy me explanation

Why itś important to stay healthy
Do you ever wonder about what would happen to your body if you didn’t take care of it?
You could get many diseases that may lead to your death.  That’s why I'm here, to explain to
you why it’s important to stay healthy.

Balanced diet
Would you rather have fast food or fresh fruit in your meals?  Hopefully you pick fresh fruit
because fast food has lots of preservatives.  Preservatives are a chemical put in food to
make it last longer without rotting or getting moldy but takes away the nutrients inside of
the food.  Fast food and cured meats such as bacon and salami can be high in preservatives
and even cause cancer.  Fresh fruits on the other hand have no preservatives, are high in
nutrients and taste delicious!  So the next time you’re shopping try to pick up some apples
to bring home for a snack or a meal.

Personal hygiene
Personal hygiene is important because it can increase good oral and body hygiene.  Ways to
increase your personal hygiene are brushing your teeth, showering and washing your hands.  It
is recommended that all children and adults brush their teeth twice a day once in the morning
and once at night.  In addition brushing your teeth can prevent tooth decay and cavities.
Thus making it very important to brush your teeth.  Furthermore showering and washing
your hands are just as important as this prevents bacteria and viruses from spreading.

Exercise
There are multiple types of exercises that each help with different parts of our bodies.  These
exercise categories are flexibility, muscle training and aerobics.  Flexibility activities can reduce
stress and help you relax and stay calm.  Additionally, it can also help with sleeping easier and
better.  Some examples of flexibility activities are yoga and stretching.  Muscle training can instead
improve your upper body strength and gain muscles.  Some examples of  muscle training activities
are using free weights, using upper body machines, doing crunches, doing push-ups and sit-ups.
Aerobic activities on the other hand are something that you can add to your daily routine to help
with your lower bodies strength and your movement.  Examples of aerobic activities are running
and kickboxing.

Now that you’ve learned about how to and why it’s important to stay healthy you can now go
and live a great healthy and happy life.
